People were very excited about Samsung’s upcoming flagship Exynos 1000 chipset that will power many phones in 2021. Now we already knew that the chip would be based on a 5nm process and will use ARM’s new Cortex-X architecture. .

The exciting thing about the chip was obviously the inclusion of the industry-first AMD Radeon graphics card. Additionally, AMD also made this public and we had also leaked information suggesting that AMD graphics were indeed being developed alongside Samsung’s mobile chip.

You caught the attention of Notebookcheck, which points out the information from tipster Ice Universe where tipster says the Exynos 1000 will not feature an AMD-made GPU. Additionally, Notebookcheck has ensured the reliability of Ice Universe in terms of Samsung-specific information, so for now this leak is reliable.

Samsung Exynos

However, as the tipster points out, the Samsung Exynos 1000 will continue to use ARM’s Mali graphics and will be equipped with G78 cores. On the other hand, Samsung’s flagship SoC with custom AMD GPU cores will be scheduled for 2022.

So overall, so far the promise we had with the Exynos 1000 is somewhat disappointing especially when you consider that the GPU will not live up to the Snapdragon 875. Although you can expect some gains. because of the Cortex-X1 cores and remember, the 5nm process will make these chips much more efficient than before.
